Taking on too much?

a nice garden with placed boulders

It is easy to get excited in the early phases of spring gardening. Spring seems to bring a lot of energy and we all make big plans. Its way to easy to underestimate how long a project will take to design, complete, plant, weed, irrigate, and maintain. Slow down and get realistic about how many hours you can give your garden during the growing season. You’;; save yourself a headache if instead of trying to do the whole thing at once you do a part of your big ideas a little at a time. That is true for landscaping too. The best landscaping can be and should be done in phases, you should think after one phase is complete whether the next one you had thought up is what you really want to do. Often things look different on paper then they do in reality.
