Landscaping and River Rock

using ordinary rocks can improve your landscape

River Rock can be an important part of any backyard pond here in Colorado. There are two parts to this hardscaping – which refers to landscaping of  non-living items such as gazebos, stones, boulders and rocks. Then there is softscaping which refers to the live element of the landscaping.

Large boulders can be used at an entrance to a garden or pathway. They can also by poolside, hide hoses and tanks. River rocks are usually smooth and look great of course in a pool area. Don’t forget the garden stone pathway to the pond.  One can also make fake rocks, and we will cover that in another post.

Mixing the two aspects of landscaping and keeping in mind ecology and eye catching harmony can give you something to relax in and certainly lower your blood pressure.
