What a relaxing site!

Who doesn’t like to sit next to a running brook on a warm summers night – or first thing in the morning during the summer. It is extremely relaxing. Fountains can be made of a lot of materials. You need a weather tolerant water proof item to serve as a water reservoir, and a pump to move the water. What could be simpler then that? Okay, well, maybe its a little more complicated. You can use rocks, pottery (broken clay pots) and left over wood pieces (like barrels and bamboo that have been treated for weather). Then use your imagination.

There are three types of fountains, one that displays a rising jet of water, one that creates a downward jet of water and the third is just a combination of the first two. Of course a water pump is need a dry one that is not submerged or a submersed one.  In later articles we will discuss how to keep your fountain functioning and clean and beautiful.
